Day One: The Aftermath

Posted on

I feel fucking awesome. I slept fantastically last night. I got out of bed more easily than normal. I have a crapload of energy.

Now if I could figure out how to balance my diet, I’d be better. We have a lot of crap at home because it makes quick lunch snacks (and it tastes mighty tasty). I know it’s not good for us, but I don’t know what to do about it.

I’m kind of looking forward to my jiggly bouncing down the street tomorrow.

  1. Baby steps are best. However, I do know of a couple who, after disturbing news about his heart health, chose to clean their pantry of everything that wasn’t heart healthy. They gave it to their daughter’s family (which probably wasn’t the best choice). Or, you could donate it to a food bank.

I’m so proud of you being so passionate about this. Someday I will be too. The C25K is not an option for me. I’ll find something.

  2. There’s a pretty easy way to make some swaps that will healthify your diet. Men’s Health sponsors the Eat This, Not That program and they will send you a daily email showing healthier choices. Of course I love their books, too (great bathroom reading) and since I’ve started reading them I’ve lost over 10 lbs. Don’t want to sound like a commercial here but passing on what helped me.
